An Oaklander since 1993, Corey loves the Bay Area and is a fervent advocate for its micro-climates, diverse neighborhoods, food and culture havens.
After eleven years of working for non-profit organizations, Corey parlayed her expertise in marketing, communications and management into a new career and got her Real Estate Broker’s License. Her vision of having her own company that is independent, client-centered, ethical, and green (hmm, make that orange) came to fruition in 2003 when she launched Orange Door Properties.
In addition to her business skills, Corey is an artist and designer and brings her keen visual sense to her real estate endeavors. With Buyers this translates into being able to see the potential in a space—looking beyond the staging and any deferred maintenance to help prospective Buyers see how the space can work for them.
With Sellers, Corey can be instrumental in preparing a home for sale: sprucing up a space, choosing paint colors, staging a home…making a house appeal to its targeted buyers and designing effective marketing materials to get them there.
Over the years Orange Door Properties has added incredible agents to its roster—becoming a well-rounded team that serves the needs of its clientele. Along the way Corey became a Certified EcoBroker to know more about energy efficiency, greener building and remodeling, and sustainable business practices.
In real estate everything is always changing and it’s an exciting challenge to remain nimble and retain a sense of balance. While it’s not always easy, Corey makes time to spend with her family and friends, volunteer at her son’s school, be creative, and meditate.
